Dream Painting..
Painting and dreaming have a lot in common. Both use a symbolic visual language, both have their own intrinsic logic and sense of place and both can be alternate worlds to this one.
I work in small, medium and large scales, acrylic on canvas. Typically, I begin a painting based on a stream-of-conscious drawing selected from hundreds of other such drawings. This is then used as a springboard for the painting.Texture and layered colors add to the physical presence of the finished picture.
